The nine-volume collection of setting materials, which includes character designs, mechanical designs, art settings for each episode, and other valuable materials that can only be found here, will be published from January 2012.
The fifth volume, "Escaflowne in the Sky TV&MOVIE," includes the setting materials for the TV version as well as the movie version. The contents of the TV version are the same as those in "SUNRISE ART WORKS/Escaflowne in the Sky TV Series" with some exceptions. (C) SUNRISE

Introduction of "Escaflowne" (The Movie)
Hitomi Kanzaki, a senior in high school, is trapped in a sense of emptiness and despairs of hurting even her best friend. This feeling triggers her to suddenly transfer to another world, Gaia, one day. The first person Hitomi meets in Gaia is a boy named Baan. Baan is the young king of the destroyed White Dragon Tribe, and a closed-minded boy who resists the Black Dragon Tribe, led by the military strategist Folken, who summoned Hitomi, and who plans to rule the world with fear. Hitomi appears from within Escaflowne, the legendary dragon armor of Gaia, and is called the "God of Wings" for turning Escaflowne into a small red stone, and ends up working with Baan.
