When Eddie Van Halen unveiled the famous red, white and black striped 5150(R) guitar in 1984, he never imagined it would spawn thousands of copies. On the other hand, the fact that Eddie has been copied in every way imaginable is one of the reasons why his name has spread all over the world at once. EVH(R) has added a new Striped Series 5150 model to its lineup based on his original guitar.

The Striped Series 5150 features the same basswood body as the original, a bolt-on quartersawn maple neck, a comfortable C-profile, and a hockey stick-style headstock with a hand-urethane back finish. -16") maple fingerboard features 22 jumbo frets, black dot inlays and a convenient heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel.

This model features a custom-designed EVH(R) Wolfgang(R) alnico(R) 2 humbucker for sweet sustain and chewy rhythms in a perfectly balanced EQ curve. EVH-branded low-friction volume knob delivers unparalleled performance and even volume tapering for smooth volume adjustments.

The EVH brand Floyd Rose(R) bridge maintains accurate tuning even during intense arm playing, and each locking nut tailpiece is equipped with a fine tuner and patented EVH D-Tuna(R) for drop D sound. / Standard tuning can be instantly switched .

With the iconic red 5150 hologram numbers and star decals, the Striped Series 5150 is a high-powered, capable machine.
