This is a rare unused guest pass to the May 10th, 1940 preview performance of MICHAEL TODD's production of the JIMMY McHUGH and AL DUBIN musical revue "THE STREETS OF PARIS" at the Hall of Music at the 1940 New York City World's Fair. (The Original Broadway production opened June 19th, 1939 at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York City and ran for 274 performances before going on the road. A revised edition would open May 11th, 1940 in the Hall Of Music at the New York World's Fair.) ..... The musical starred GYPSY ROSE LEE and ABBOTT and COSTELLO and featured "THINK-A-DRINK" HOFFMAN, DELLA LIND, YVONNE BOUVIER, GLORIA GILBERT, GOWER CHAMPION and JEANNE TYLER, THE READINGER TWINS, MARGARET IRVING, JOHN McCAULEY, HYLTON SISTERS, WARD and VAN, BEN DOVA, BILLY BRANCH, MAGDA KARI, BUDDY ROBERTS and LINCOLN WILMERTON ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light edge wear, this rare ticket is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
