Vintage Original William J. Faulkner African American Folklorist Rare Collection of Testimonial Letters – 74 Letters in Total

This is a binder of letters addressed to William J. Faulkner (1891-1987) from his influential friends upon his retirement as minister of the Congregational Church of Park Manor in Chicago.  The front cover reads, “From Your Friends to Dr. and Mrs. William J. Faulkner, Chicago, Illinois.”

There are 74 letters in total in this rare collection.

Please note that the binder itself measures approximately 9” x 11”.  The binder is in vintage condition with heavier discoloration and wear.  There is an old storage-type scent.  I don’t know if it can be cleaned or refurbished.  The letters inside are protected by sleeves.  The letters may have additional discoloration, marks, creasing, folds and tearing from age, handling and storage.  There is discoloration and marks to the sleeves.

This collection of history needs to be safeguarded.
