Description: Buckwheat is a short lived forage for deer and wild life. Buckwheat can be planted alone or used to help other crops below it establish before the deer find them. Deer love buckwheat as it is a nice source of protein. Buckwheat also mixes very nicely with other seed. 

Plant with a grain drill or a broadcast seeder. 

Seeding Depth: Plant at 1/2" to 3/4"

Seeding Rate: Plant 40 to 55 lbs/acre
