A fine porcelain collectors plate, manufactured by Vista Alegre, decorated with a detailed rendering of a Galleon, the "Galeao das Especiarias da India 1521".
A vintage plate purchased a few decades ago at the "Museu De Marinha Lisboa", (Naval Museum, Lisbon).
Previously owned and found on display, the plate measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter and has survived free of chips, cracks, abrasions or evidence of prior use.
