Antique Early 20th Century Paperweight - Cast Brass Eagle on Marble Base.
This is an Antique Early 20th Century Paperweight - Cast Brass Eagle on Marble Base. This is in excellent condition. The finial of the paperweight is cast brass in the shape of an Eagle with it's wings outspread. The detail in it's feathers is very attractive. It is perched upon a rock and looking off into the distance. The brass is mounted to a square base of black marble. The marble has a gloss finish with a subtle green hue and darker veining. Through time and use the brass has acquired a patina, which enhances the desk weight's appearance. This paperweight is not only functional but also decorative and attractive. It is a great, collectable piece.
