Original Warners Flap Sac Record Rare Flap Sac DJ 12” record bag backpack - Warners Urban Force - mid 1990s

Description

A black Flap Sac record bag backpack from the mid 1990s created for Warners Urban Force - a dance music label that was part of Warner Records - and featuring the label design on the front.

A robust bag, it's designed to carry roughly 40 x 12” vinyl records with three carrying options - handles, a heavy-duty shoulder strap or backpack straps.

The bag has two zip pockets on the front of the bag, covered by a flap that fastens with a velcro strip (which is still in tip-top condition), and one slip pocket with a metal popper fastening on the back of the bag. Inside, there are three more slip pockets and one zipped pocket.

The material is a high quality waterproof nylon similar to those used on outdoor and military products.

The condition is near excellent, as it's been stored in a plastic bag in a cupboard since the late 1990s.

There are two faults with the bag - the rear exterior slip pocket has an 8cm tear on one corner, which is fixable. The other fault is a small hash ‘blim hole’ in the interior of the bag, which isn’t fixable but is barely noticeable.

Flap Sac made the best DJ record bags in the 1990s and 2000s, and similar bags (but with different branding) can sell for much more.
