To write this book, he has worked with Tomcat pilots who have just returned from Operation Iraqi Freedom, as well as with 30 Tomcat pilots who have been involved in the Navy's air operations in Iraq. For this book, he was granted permission to conduct exclusive interviews with more than 30 Tomcat pilots and radar strike control officers who had recently returned from Operation Iraqi Freedom.
