Hyaluronic Acid 1% Liquid

Hyaluronic acid forms a thin transparent and elastic film that helps to preserve the characteristics of youthful and healthy skin: suppleness, elasticity and tone.

Hyaluronic acid is a compound found naturally in your skin where it can bind up to 1000 times its weight in water. It functions as a humectant and holds water molecules onto the surface of your skin and is responsible for a smooth, plump and hydrated look. When applied to the skin, hyaluronic acid serums can help reduce wrinkles, redness, and dermatitis. Studies have also found it to be beneficial for wound healing.

As we age, the production of key substances in the skin, including hyaluronic acid (along with collagen and elastin) decreases. As a result, our skin loses volume, hydration, and plumpness.

Topical hyaluronic acid is normally well tolerated, and it rarely causes allergic reactions or irritates sensitive skin, and it is safe to use on the skin during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.

Hyaluronic acid used in beauty and skincare products is primarily made by bacteria in a lab via a process called biofermentation.

Our material is made from bacterial fermentation using glucose that is corn derived to produce the hyaluronic acid in a biofermentation process. The product is classified as natural and used in natural and organic cosmetic manufacturing.

How to use this product:

a.   Use as a serum

Use the product as it is on clean damp skin either alone (if your skin is very oily) or before applying your moisturiser.

b.   Make your own serum

You can add any water-soluble active ingredient such as niacin (vitamin B3), (provitamin B5), allantoin or a water-soluble vitamin C. Use between 2-10%

c.   Add to formula

If you make your own creams or lotions, you can add a hyaluronic acid solution 1%. The hyaluronic acid should be added when your emulsion is below 40º C.
