Candle Dagger - Made by a master craftsman

Spanish sailing dagger (also known as left hand dagger). It owes its name to the candle shape of the guard that protects the hand. Its use was frequent during the so-called Spanish Golden Age and was used as a complement and defense during duels with sword ropera.

This dagger has been forged in a historic forge, molded by hammer on anvil and to which all thermal processes (forging, normalizing, annealing, tempering and tempering) have been applied in a traditional way.

The garnish, made of iron, has been created in a completely historical way, riveted in a traditional way without welding points. The sail has been forged and cold molded to give it high hardness. The detail of the cross has been cut by hand on the metal.

The blade, adorned with breakers in the recazo, has been made of carbon steel following traditional methods. It is delivered without sharpening, but with a marked tip, so it is recommended not to use in combat or recreation disciplines.

The design and creation of this piece has not been oriented to the manufacture of a decorative piece, but to a real weapon with the greatest possible optimization in its weight and characteristics.
