for sale here is a very good clean orvis battenkill 8/9 disc drag trout fly fishing reel , 3 + 3/8ths" size , left or right wind , 2 screw spool release , rear drag adjuster , overall very nice tight and tidy reel and comes with a spare spool and also with paper instructions too..very nice little reel actually..fully serviced and ready to use...the spare spool is a slightly earlier model and the only difference is the brass bush on the back , other than that they are identical and fully interchangeable..most paint intact with just normal light wear as can be seen.. ..please see my other listings of hardy and other vintage fishing items this week , all items are posted as soon as paid.. |
if you buy a reel from me , you can be sure it has been through my workshop , lines removed , fully cleaned and serviced and any worn or damaged parts replaced with new ones , so no loose handles , no chewed up screws , no spool wobble or spindle wear , no bent or filed feet , no worn pawls , no loose rivets or missing parts , good tight springs and always described exactly as i see it , i do all the hard work so you dont have to worry about getting an inferior reel obviously the more vintage reels may have little flaws such as worn screw heads or paint wear or scratches etc but all items will be fully photographed and described correctly , if you are unsure then please contact me.. |
