Description: Original engraved print from "Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid, vertoonende de opkomst, voortgang en ondergang der Actie, Bubbel en Windnegotie, in Vrankryk, Engeland, en de Nederlanden, gepleegt in den Jaare MDCCXX �", Amsterdam, 1720. (The Great Mirror of Folly, which is actually a collection on all printsmaps and text, published in 1720, satirizing the Englishman John Law, his Mississippi Company, and the international land and trading speculation in worthless shares of the South Sea Bubble of 1719-1720, which resulted in an international scandal.

Subject: Plate 39: 'Het hobbelend actiescheepje van Madame Compagnie en Monsieur Bubbels.' (The rocking little boat of shares with Madame Company and the bubble lord.) Broadside representing the South Sea Company afloat until it will eventually sink.
Condition: Excellent given its age. General age related toning and occasional light staining as visible on scan. Original fold as issued. Small tear at bottom Part of fold, backed, not effecting image. Please study scan carefully.
