Cornelius Hugh DeWitt (1905-1995) was a German-born children’s book illustrator and illustrated numerous books for publishing houses such as Golden Books and Western Publishing in the mid-twentieth century. DeWitt was also a contributor to one of Golden Books largest and most financially successful publications, The Golden Encyclopedia (published in multiple editions with various editors from 1946-1988).

Very Good+ Book in Good Dust Wrapper. (Book has light shelfwear, presentation inscription and ex-libris label. Tight binding, complete, clean and intact. Dust jacket is price-clipped, has large triangular chip missing at top of front panel, 0.5 inch chip at lower spine end , wear and tears along margins and folds, some repairs along spine.)
