Since the UK regretfully left the EU on January 1st 2021 we have had to adapt to new challenges to continue to serve you, our highly valued EU customers.
These new measures did of course come with some expected initial backlogs and teething problems. However, these issues are now resolved, shipping services have stabilised, and we are once again able to provide a timely and efficient service across the European Union and EEA.
The short guide below outlines the few considerations that EU customers should be aware of when placing orders post-Brexit.
Additionally, we would like to reassure all of our EU customers that we are committed to making your customer experience as smooth and frictionless as possible and we are absolutely at your service to make that a reality.
No Import VAT for EU Businesses
Orders from EU businesses who provide their VAT number in the “message to seller” box are now fulfilled from our new EU subsidiary in Ireland, 1st Technologies Handling (Ireland) Limited.
As you are purchasing from another EU company your order will arrive on DAP incoterms (without any customs checks or VAT payment requirements), invoiced from 1st Technologies Ireland with the following details:

Using UPS World Ease, all EU orders are cleared in to the single market by 1st Technologies' Irish subsidiary before onward delivery to you, the final customer.
Shipping times are consistent with pre-Brexit delivery timeframes and no additional delays are incurred.
Currently this option is only available for road transport services (UPS standard and Kuehne Nagel road).
Customers in the Republic of Ireland and France are unfortunately unable to use this service but will continue to be served directly from the UK.
VAT Charges for EU Customers:

Order Processing Time: We aim to process all orders within 24 hours of payment. This is a realistic estimate based on past performance and we aim to achieve this on 90% of orders.
UK Delivery Time-Frame: All orders under 30Kg on a tracked 2 to 3 day service with DPD. Small shipments (under 1Kg & £50 GBP) are sent with Royal Mail on a 1st Class service. Large items such as 4U servers are sent with on a wooden pallet with a pallet courier - if you are ordering large items please ensure your shipping address can accept a pallet. A forklift is not required.
European Delivery Time-Frame: European delivery will take 2-7 working days (depending on your location in the EU) with DPD on a tracked service.. We may request your EORI number in this case and tracking for these orders may be available upon request. DPD does not charge an import fee for EU deliveries, however they will contact you to collect EU VAT at the point of import to the EU, and there may be small governmental charges specific to your country. Pallet couriers may also do the same.
Express UK Delivery: If you have paid for express delivery we will flag your order as a priority. Your order is guaranteed to be dispatched within 1 working day on a next-day service. Orders placed between 12am and 9am will be processed and dispatched on the same day.
Delivery Partners: For UK deliveries we only use DPD (Tracked), Royal Mail and various pallet couriers. For EU deliveries all items are sent with DPD on a tracked service by road. We use these companies in complete confidence that your parcels will arrive safely without any damage.
Packaging: We use custom protective moulds that surround the corners and edges of our machines. The foam mould not only protects the machine from impact and physical damage, it suspends the machine in the middle of the box preventing damage to the machine should the box become damaged.

If you have a problem with your order please contact us through eBay messages as soon as possible with your eBay Username order number and a description of the issue. We are aware that mistakes and problems can always occur but we will endeavour to get any issue resolved as quickly and fairly as possible. Please note: You MUST contact us through eBay. We CANNOT open a return case or issue refunds outside of eBay. This is a requirement from eBay for both us and the customer.
Warranty Returns: Orders for components on their own are covered under a 90-day warranty, while configured systems are covered under a 1-year warranty. If you have received a unit that develops a fault during your warranty period please contact us through eBay and we will issue a replacement item or will repair the item for you.
Returns Process & Cooling-Off Period: Under the Consumer Rights Act you have a legal right to reject goods that are of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, and get a full refund - as long as you do this quickly.
This right is limited to 30 days from the date you take ownership of your product. After 30 days, you will not be legally entitled to a full refund if your item develops a fault. If your item develops a fault you are entitled to a replacement or a repair under our Return To Base Warranty which is explained below. This right to a refund does not apply to products you have bought as downloads, though - such as music, games or apps. You can, however, ask for a digital product to be repaired or replaced if it develops a fault. And if this is not possible, or is unsuccessful, you have the right to receive a price reduction.
