This beautiful and a unique artefact is a hand-painted wooden horse from Rajasthan (India) also known as Rajasthani Wedding Horse. In Indian traditions, the groom accompanied by the entourage of his family and friends, sets off on a mare (female horse) to go to bride's house. A band singing songs and playing music, young and old all dancing with joy and the groom in traditional wear sitting on the mare with a sword in his hand, the view of this wedding procession (known as Baraat) is a sight to behold. The bright ornamental paint makes this horse decorative and exquisite. With effect of time some paint loss and wear and tear can be seen in the horse but that is not a defect, it’s a rustic look of the product making it an Antique item.

Decorated in silver, jewels, and bells, horses were trained to perform complex prancing and leaping movements at many ceremonies, including weddings.
