VG+ - EX.  February 4, 1950 - Convention Hall, Philadelphia.  College basketball doubleheader program pitting St. John’s vs. Temple and St. Joseph’s vs. La Salle.  St. John’s started the season as the #1 ranked team in the country - they ended at #9 after falling to Bradley in the Semi-Finals of the NIT.  Six players from the St. John’s roster were drafted by NBA teams.
Notable players included:  Al McGuire (future hall of fame coach at Marquette), Jack McMahon (also had a long coaching career, including 10 years as a NBA/ABA Head coach), Gerry Calabrese, Ron McGilvray, Zeke Zawoluk, Larry Foust (8 X NBA All-Star), Jim Phelan, Bill Mlkvy and Paul Senesky.
