EX.  January 2, 1950 - Convention Hall, Philadelphia.  College basketball double-header featuring La Salle vs. Western Kentucky and Temple vs. St. Joseph’s.  W. Kentucky was a powerhouse in 1949-50, winning the Ohio Valley Conf and finishing in the top ten (#8) for the year.  They sent three players (Bob Lavoy - #9 overall, Gene Rhodes - 4th rd, Jack Turner - #8 overall) to the NBA.  La Salle was also a power that year, featuring future 8 X NBA All-Star Larry Foust, as well as Jim Phelan.
