(4)This adapter is able to convert the mechanical fan clutch adapter from the electrical, computer-controlled 6.0L cooling fan assembly to the rugged mechanical fan clutch found on the 1997 Ford 7.3L diesel.
(5) Use of a mechanical fan clutch in place of the stock electronic clutch will result in stored trouble codes because the OE fan clutch is electronic and the electronic fan clutch is being removed. (Soft codes that should not turn on the "Service Engine Soon" light).
