These beautiful wooden bowels are handmade with the ‘Lichtenberg wood burning technique’, discovered in Germany by physicist Georg Christoph Lichtenberg in 1777. They’re made by the artist and craftsman William Kenn from the Pioneer Artist’s Colony in Nashville, Indiana. Omar’s wood work has been featured at Hayfork Studio & Salt Creek Country Crafts in Nashville for ten years, as well as being sold on line.

Kenn uses the‘electrical discharge’ method to create branching patterns on the surface of repurposed wooden bowls. The bowls are finished with natural shellac and suitable for serving food or as artistic objects.

The bowls average 12” in diameter and each is unique and different.
