Description: It is an authentic antique map approximately 85 years old. There is a "Copyright by C.S. Hammond & Co., NY" in small print near the bottom border. It is not dated, but was printed during the 1930s according to the census that appears on the reverse of a few of the maps, most have a county and town index on the reverse. The main attraction are the details concerning railroads which have numbers corresponding to the specific areas where they operated, see the detailed pics. It is not mounted, matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as shown against a dark background in the pic. A nice large map for framing with no centerfold. A rare map difficult to find, great for those interested in early railroads.
Size: The map image area between the neat lines measures approximately 11 by 18 inches (28x46cm) on a 12 1/2 by 20" (32x51cm) page.
Condition: The map is in Very Good condition with minor darkening around the edges. Overall it is very clean, slightly cropped margins, nice and flat for framing, see the pics for more on condition. The pics are of the actual map.
