Description: It is an original antique Trade Chart over 225 years old published by Guillaume Reynal and appended in the back of a copy of his Atlas de toutes les parties connues du glove terrestre, published circa 1779. The language is in French. This is one of a group of trade charts that was included in the back of the early editions of the atlas that would have been used by sea captains and traders involved in transatlantic shipping between Europe and the Americas. It is being sold as a single authentic document that is not framed or matted, shown above photographed against a dark background. The listing is for the actual antique chart.
Size: The page measures approximately 8 1/2 by 9 1/2 inches (22x24cm) as seen in the pic.
Condition: It is in very good condition, printed on a buff very lightly aged cotton rag page, blank on the reverse, binding side untrimmed, basically as seen in the pic with a vertical fold as issued. There is a crimp along the binding side and minor darkening along the top edge, otherwise it is very clean and well preserved in its original state. The pics are of the actual chart, although the actual chart looks much better.
