• These units have the 2D Scanner (Pico Imager) which is far superior to the 1D model.  It scans both 1D and 2D barcodes and scans much faster than the 1D-only model. The Model Number is MC5040-PKODBQEA8WR. This model is also functionally equivalent to Model number PK0DBQEE1WW and to model number PK0DBQEA7WR except that model includes the standard capacity battery, whereas this model includes the 3600 MAh extended capacity battery.
• The terminals are new "Open Box' in their original packaging.
• Each terminal comes complete with battery, stylus, handstrap, leather case, USB communications/charging cradle, and power supply/line cord. 
• With its built-in IEEE802.11b compliant wireless Networking card, the MC5040 can connect to wi-fi networks at full 11mpbs data transfer rate. 
• The only software included with the sale is what comes factory installed by Symbol on the terminal. This includes "scanwedge.exe" which allows the terminal to scan a barcode into any application.  It also includes things like Pocket Word, Pocket Excel, etc. which, along with the scanwedge.exe application, would allow you to start collecting barcode data right out of the box.

We have thoroughly tested the PDA and have verified that the terminal powers on, boots up normally, passes all self tests, scans 1D and 2D barcodes, communicates and charges through the bottom port, and associates with a wireless access point.  One  battery is included in the sale.  The battery is brand new in original packaging, but may be old stock.   We will replace the battery if not completely satisfied.  These units are new "Open Box," never used.  However, they no longer carry the factory Symbol Technologies, Inc. warranty.  We provide a 14-day return policy, and we will guarantee this equipment for a period of 90 days after delivery.
