This is a beautiful and unique Pony book, both written and illustrated, in pen and ink, by a 12-year-old girl on her fantastic understanding and knowledge on the care of horses, ponies and horsemanship. It written in a refreshing, honest and direct way that a child brings to this wonderful book.


This does not have a Dust Jacket, but it is an early and beautiful edition of this book, a 1933 reprint, of the same year as the 1st edition.


This includes a stunning colour frontispiece and numerous colour and black and white illustrations throughout.

The pale cloth bound boards and spine are in intact and in a good condition, with only small marks and minimal wear. There is red lettering on the front board and spine and a lovely red illustration on the front board.


Inside, this is an overall really neat and clean condition. The pages are edged in red to the top and are lovely and thick. Although there is some foxing to the pastedowns and endpapers, the rest of the pages are overall very clean. There are no rips and the majority of the pages are uncreased. On the front free endpaper there is a pencil inscription, but there are no further pen or pencil marks inside this book. There are no loose pages and the binding is secure. There are 93 pages of the main text. Please study the photos carefully as to the condition of this book, as they do form part of the description.
