Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Philips Galle' after 'Jan van der Straet'. Philip (or Philips) Galle (Haarlem 1537 - Antwerp 1612) was a Dutch publisher, engraver and designer. He is mainly known for publishing Old Master prints, reproductive engravings of paintings. Johannus Stradanus (also: Jan van der Straat or Giovanni Stradano, 1523-1605) was a Flanders-born mannerist artist active in 16th century Florence.

Condition: Fair, given age. Trimmed to the image. Bottom corners with damages and some paper loss, all remargined using Japanese paper. A few tiny pinholes. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
