Condition: FAIR. 393 text pages plus preface and index. Front and back leather covers detached but present, as well as first and last blank pages. Partial gilt lettering on spine. Minor loss at top and bottom of spine. Spine unbroken. Pages are lightly browned, consistent with age. Vignettes present at beginning and end of chapters and drop caps are used, but otherwise not illustrated. Minimal to no staining. Pages are in great condition for being almost 300 years old!
