Vintage CHINESE 14K Gold/Jade Pill Box - 13.7g

Approx. 12mm diam. x 9mm tall ( 7/8" diam. x 3/4").  

Total weight:  13.7 grams.

DESCRIPTION:

Small vintage pill box.     

14k yellow gold, jade.  Hinged lid.  There is a small jump ring on the back side of the box with Chinese character tag connected with 2 links.    

Note:  the jump ring on the character tag and the jump ring on the box itself are not soldered/sealed.   

Markings:  purity mark 14K stamped inside the box;  above this stamp is a presumed maker's mark -- backwards capital "P" conjoined to capital "K".   

Presumed China.  Mid 20th century I believe.  

CONDITION:

On very close inspection you may detect some typical, very light use- / handling-related wear:  scattered small superficial scratches and rubs to the gold;  a couple of very small, very superficial dings to the rounded outer edge of the lid;  a couple of very minor bends to the bottom edge of the lid.  See photos.  None of this is at all conspicuous and none of this at all affects the opening/closing of the lid.  

Otherwise excellent original condition with no damage and no significant wear.  No restorations or repairs.  

No other dings or bends.  No splits, breaks, chips, cracks, looseness, scuffs, creases.  No significant scratches or rubs.  

Very clean as found, inside and out.  

The hinge is tight with no looseness, wobble, stress or other issues.  The lid snaps closed securely -- I would not be concerned about the lid opening accidentally.  

No engravings, monograms or removal.  

Used, not abused.
