Artitst Gerald Kelly (1879-1972)

Gerald Kelly was the brother of Rose Edith Kelly. Who in 1904, married Aleister Crowley, while they were on their honeymoon in Cairo, Egypt, recieved The Book of the Law from a supernatural entity named Aiwass. The Book of the Law is considered a sacred text that serves as the basis for Thelema.

One page. He had discussed with "Mr Entwhistle" (wallpaper historian) a little collection of wallpapers he had purchased. Entwhistle had retired but suggested he write to Archer. He thought he did, and found a copy of his letter. "if you are not interested it will be quite easy for you to let me know". Also included is a photocopy of a page from Derek Stanford's biography of Kelly which tells the story of his purchase of a trunk full of Second Empire wall papers" which he gave to the V & A at the end of his life.

Some slight wear, else in very good condiition.
