• Allows charging of the terminal inside the mobile computer and provides a slot to charge a spare battery outside of the mobile computer.  Symbol made 3 different single-slot serial cradles for the PDT81XX series of mobile computers: the CRD8100-1000S, the CRD8100-1100S, and the CRD8100-1200S.  The CRD8100-1000S and the CRD8100-1100S are functionally equivalent.  They both work with any type of PDT81XX terminal and include a slot to charge a spare battery.  However, the CRD8100-1000S and CRD8100-1100S cradles will only charge 1400mAh, 1550mAh, and 1700 mAh batteries in the spare battery charging slot.  Of the 3 different models, the CRD8100-1200S is the only one that can also charge the 1950mAh batteries found on the XScale-processor PDT81XX's and the trigger-ready models (this battery has a white exterior).  Any of the cradles can charge the battery while it is inside of the PDT8100 and will also charge the 1400, 1550, and 1700 mAh batteries in the spare battery charging slot, but only the CRD8100-1200S model can also charge an Xscale or trigger-ready model's 1950mAh battery in the spare battery charging slot.  If your PDT81XX terminal uses the 1950mAh batteries with the white exterior and is an XScale Model or Trigger-ready model, this cradle is the best cradle for your terminal.
• Provides for serial communication between a PC and the mobile computer using Microsoft Activesync (a free download from Microsoft).
• This cradle kit includes everything you need and works with all Symbol PDT8100 series of mobile computers.  The power supply accepts input of 120-250V, 50-60hz., so this cradle can also be used outside of North America with the proper line cord for the power supply.
• All parts of the kit are genuine Symbol Technologies, Inc. (now Motorola)  products and are in BRAND NEW in their original packaging. The picture shown in this listing of a 1950 mAh battery is shown for reference only.  It is not included in this sale.
• The kit comes complete with cradle, serial cable, power supply, line cord, and quick reference guide. 
• If your computer does not have serial ports, you will need to buy a USB-serial converter, or ask us about a USB cradle for the PDT8100.
