For centuries, the neighboring Kouga and Iga clans of feudal Japan were bitter enemies and their warring Ninja families have been immortalized in Japanese literature. To commemorate these secret warriors, Hanwei presented the Kouga and Iga Ninja-To.

The Kouga Ninja-To features a high carbon forged steel blade, differentially hardened to an edge hardness of 60 HRC. This Ninja sword features a detachable double pin tsuka with a battle sheath on black stripe leather and Kouga mon menuki .

The blackened iron tsuba features the perforated mon Kougay kanji , a theme repeated in the fuchi/kashira . The kanji and mon also appear on the blackened accessories of the spiked saya .
