Greatly used by artists and signwriters, this 2 piece mahl stick is lightweight and collapsible.
Mahl Sticks (or painters rests) provide support for the artists hand when painting on a large scale or with slow drying materials, like oil paints, preventing smudging and helping to create a steadier brush stroke.
By resting the leather end on the edge of the canvas you can then rest your working hand on the mahl stick to prevent damaging your work.
This mahl stick is made from 2 aluminium rods which easily screw together to give you a total length of 91cm
The wooden head is covered in soft faux leather to protect your work
