There are two production methods for silicon nitride ceramic products:
1. Reaction sintering method: Reaction sintering method is a mixture of silicon powder or silicon powder and silicon nitride powder according to the ceramic
The products are moulded according to the production method of ceramics. Then it is pre-nitrided in the nitriding furnace at 1150~1200°C to obtain a certain strength.
After obtaining a certain degree of strength, it can be machined on the machine tool, followed by further nitriding at 1350~1450°C for 18~36H.
-Step nitriding 18~36H, until all become silicon nitride. The size of the products made in this way

2. Hot press sintering method: Hot press sintering method is to sinter silicon nitride powder with a small amount of additives, at 19.6MPA
The sintering is done by pressing silicon nitride powder with a small amount of additives at a pressure of 19.6MPA or more and at 1600~1700°C.
Usually the products made by hot pressing sintering method have higher density and better performance than the products made by reaction sintering.
