Very unusual octagonal Japanese charger plate. The central scene depicts a boat on a river with surrounding houses, trees and mountains in the distance - a very charming scene. The deep blue border has a very detailed geometrical design. On the reverse border is a very interesting scroll like design on each of the four faces.

This plate came from a country house sale where the original owners had a handmade mount made for wall hanging. The hanger can be removed but I have decided to keep this in place for the sale.

The plate is in very good condition with no chips or cracks - see photos for a statement of condition.
