This is the part that attaches to the idler bracket toward the left-hand side of the engine. It serves as the way to tension the a/c fan belt, used on the old square style York or Tecumseh compressors.
Date Code 9-70, part # (part #DOAA-8A-617C), this core is ideal for cars that require proper date coding and/or part #. THIS IS A USED CORE THAT SEEMS TO HAVE A GOOD BEARING, BUT THERE'S REALLY NO WAY FOR US TO TEST IT, SO IT MAY NEED TO BE REBUILT TO CHANGE THE BEARING. PULLEY IS STRAIGHT AND BRACKET IS VERY CLEAN; BOTH WITH ONLY MINOR IMPERFECTIONS. IT HAS BEEN BEAD-BLASTED AND PAINTED BLACK.
