Here for sale is this rare, early version of a Hawkeye wooden splint picnic basket. The interior has a divided tin liner to keep food cool. Salt and ice was added to keep items frozen. It has wood bale handles and canvas seruring strap. The lid has gilt Hawkeye graphics. This was their high end basket when it was produced in the 20’s - 40's, one of their more scarce designs.
