About Styrene Butadiene Rubber
Rubber SBR is best known for its extreme traction, as it is also used to make tough products such as tires and boot soles. The grip of SBR remains reliable, even when wet, making it an excellent material for non-slip aisle runners in commercial buildings during the wet seasons.
Due to the light chemical resistance of SBR material, the mats are cleaned very easily; simply wash with water and a mild household cleaner without the fear of lost traction or degrading rubber.

When a shoe is scraped against the rough rubber material, dirt and debris are scraped off and trapped down in the lower grooves of the mat. This not only cleans the shoe, but contains the filth to prevent it from spreading indoors or onto another pair of shoes.
