Mac Radner (Seth Rogen) and Kelly Radner (Rose Byrne) are trying to sell their home and move to the suburbs. They are just about to close the deal when a new sorority, Kappa Nu, moves in next door. The sorority is led by Shelby (Chloe Grace Moretz), a rebellious young woman who is determined to throw the biggest parties in the neighborhood.

The Radners are initially tolerant of the sorority's noise and partying, but they soon realize that it is affecting the value of their home. They try to get the sorority to quiet down, but Shelby is not interested in cooperating.

Mac and Kelly eventually turn to their former enemy, Teddy Sanders (Zac Efron), for help. Teddy is now a lawyer, and he agrees to help the Radners get the sorority evicted. However, the sorority is not going down without a fight.

The Radners, Teddy, and the sorority engage in a series of escalating pranks and schemes, each one more outrageous than the last. In the end, the Radners are able to get the sorority evicted, but they also learn a valuable lesson about tolerance and acceptance.
