After suffering a bad dose of Tennis Elbow while trying to Detect in long wheat stubble many years ago I decided to do something about it and developed and had manufactured the Easy Swing Bungee harness. It has been so successfull in relieving stresses and strains by helping to remove the unnecessary extra weight of your detectors, strimmers etc we are now on version 111 black.  We have now also had a grey adjustable version made that lets kids, ladies and really large people use them.
When ordering please send us a message to say wether you want the Black fixed length version or the Grey Adjustable.

Over the years several people have made videos of how to wear the Easy Swings. There are several on You Tube that can be found typing in Easy Swing Bungee or try the following link

I have personally found during the winter months its always more comfortable to wear the Bungee under outer top coats. Its less claustrophobic and keeps the bungee dry. Just bring the last piece of the bungee that you attach to the detector out over your coat zip or buttons.

To wear for a right handed person.   Place the arm loop ( No its not a head loop) up over your LEFT arm and then lay the strap tidily around the back of your head and down over your right  chest.  If your left handed just reverse the first step and put the loop over your RIGHT arm and then around the back of your head.
Take one of the short pieces of elastic ( The other is a spare) and place it around the detector handle just your side of the control box and then through itself and pull it tight.
The elastic will then be positioned at the detectors point of balance where you can just clip or unclip it while hole digging etc.
Once on the detector for the first time you need to adjust the bungee strap buckle to suit your height.  The ideal length is just so you have your coil while swinging 3-4 inches above the ground so that you actually push the coil down to the ground rather than trying to support the weight of the machine.
