Modified DCU, mod done in the style of the Vietnam, 1980's and very early GWOT era SF modification by removing the 2 pockets from another shirt and placing them on the sleeve in an angled orientation. All original pockets are left in place so the shirt has a total of 6 pockets after modification. No velcro is added for the pocket closure or patches, the original buttons are used.

This 6 pocket version is more expensive than the modified shirts that simply move the pockets from the bottom to the sleeve because in order to make them we must use a donor shirt that is destroyed in the process. Because these are new shirts we must use pockets from new shirts to match the wear. Because we must destroy other shirts to make these we typically wait until an order comes in to make them so we can make best use of the resources available, so these may take 4-7 days longer to ship than normal.

Size Medium Long. I will be posting other sizes so be sure to check my other listings.

This is not an original item, but a remake made as true to original form as possible. All our sewing is done by a team of a Vietnam veteran and an Afghanistan veteran. My remakes are all made either with government issue shirts or quality commercial ones like Tru-Spec and Propper that are also of the correct era and style that were actually utilized, we work very hard to source good quality shirts to makes these from. This item started with a new shirt that had never been worn.

These shirts are modified from original style shirts, they are not made this way from the factory. As a result the stitch work attaching the pocket will not be factory perfect, just as it was not with the original modified shirts. Because each one is individually modified there will be slight differences in the details between them. The example shown will not be the exact same one you get, but yours will be made in the same style of the same base pattern shirt.

Because these are modern reproductions and not original pieces with collector value they are ideal for wear as OPFOR, for reenacting, for MILSIM and airsoft, and other uses where you don't want to risk damaging an actual collectable piece. To prevent them from being later confused for original items, intentionally or by accident, under the pocket flap we stencil our business initials. This cannot be seen when worn and do not change the appearance of the item at all, but it helps preserve the integrity of the collectors market for actual combat worn items.
