Originally planned as a portable version of "MH3," "G" was added to the title to signify an upgraded version due to the large number of additional elements presented, and the final content was even more voluminous. 3DS lower screen (touch screen) panel for moving maps, item pouches, etc. Customizable features include the addition of a virtual cross button and a target camera that directs the viewpoint to large monsters. It also supports an extended slide pad.
