A very attractive, circa 1870 log cabin quilt. Gorgeous deeper tones.

Many various fabrics from this time period including some paisley & tartan plaid, suitings & challis wool etc..

The back is it’s foundation pieces which are a magnificent array of various brown cotton prints.

An Ohio quilt. This won a prize at the Dogwood Festival”. Most likely later, not when it was made. Going by the tag itself. The festival apparently still exists in Pike County Ohio. Some good info on the web about it.

***Condition~ overall more primitive in nature. There is some random wear to some of the areas which I have shown. The center is split as seen but is very easy to mend back together. Some patina visible on the back.

Still a beauty & definitely perfect for the primitive quilt lover.

It’s a good larger size - aprox 80” x 82”.

This has been in my personal collection for many years. Again, it is extremely striking just not pristine.
