Beware of forgeries of not only the Saint Lucia souvenir sheet, but the whole stamp set as well!
Perforated and imperforate versions, as well as fake inverts are circulating. They are completely inferior to the genuine issues in every way and were made in 2015. Thousands of sets were dumped onto the market and are now everywhere.
Produced by the Format International Security Printers, this set was found scattered in the evidence that was confiscated by the British Metropolitan Police from the printers archive during the raids they made to gain evidence in the infamous Tuvalu Trials back in 1989.
A complete set of these is virtually impossible to obtain except through me.
I obtained for research, partial packs and even some unopened full packs of the color proofs for nearly all the Royal Wedding souvenir sheets made for all of the countries that issued (and did not issue) them. The packs were meant to be shipped to the stamp agent. For Saint Lucia, I found some of the colors in almost complete packs with only a few taken. Some were damaged. I virtually found only two pack of each the individual colors running between 4-500 copies.
One VERY interesting proof in this set is what I call "the 9th proof" which is a "lighter" version of the final colors proof.

Basically before the darker black was added. Because it is very similar to the final color proofs most color proof sets offered will not have it, or it is thought by the seller to be the final color proof in some cases. Therefore, virtually any color proof set out there is really incomplete unless there are 9 different proofs in it like this one.
It is doubtful now with so many years passing, that any more will ever show up. It is only by luck that these have remained intact! Because of the quantity I can make, I pass the savings on to you with this low price starting bid. Normally these would be offered for much more!
