Item: Japanese pilgrimage manuscript (Nōkyō-chō)

Content: Seals or handwritten signatures by Temple Monk of famous 113 Temples of Bando, Chichibu & more. This is proof of the pilgrimage.

Material: Paper

Design: Individual temples and shrines that compose a sacred site are called “札所, Fudasho. At each Fudasho, pilgrims visit its Nōkyōjo (temple office) and receive shuin, the temple’s stamp. Shuin collecting is practiced with a stamp book (“nōkyōchō”, 納経帳).

Condition: Good condition for its age. Original covers. No wormholes. There are a little stains, wrinkles. Please, see photos.
