Notes of possible interest :-
Situated in Covent Garden, central London, is the Royal Opera House which is home to The Royal Opera and the Royal Ballet. Originally built in 1732 the theatre is the third on the site because of fires in 1808 and 1856. The current facade, auditorium and foyer were built in 1858 with most of the rest of the complex being extensively reconstructed during the 1990’s. The main auditorium (a Grade 1 listed building) is the 3rd largest in London seating over 2250 people in 4 tiers of balconies, boxes & amphitheatre gallery.
