Dear buyer, your attention is presented commemorative coin

On September 26, 2023, the National Bank of Ukraine put into circulation a new commemorative coin "The Land of Superheroes. Thanks to the energy workers!".

The coin is dedicated to all energy workers of Ukraine - modern Ukrainian superheroes and warriors of light.

"And in times of peace, the work of Ukrainian energy workers is important, but in times of war, it is heroic! Every day and every night under enemy fire and bad weather, in spite of fatigue and danger, these ordinary extraordinary people did their work. Time and time again, returning the light, they return hope with it, give the opportunity to live and work, fight for Victory! Therefore, in order to immortalize their feat, we created this modern minimalist coin, with coded symbols of the victorious light," said Andriy Pishnyi, Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine.

About the design of the new commemorative coin

The design of the new commemorative coin was created by the well-known Ukrainian artist, illustrator, graphic designer Serhiy Maidukov.

On the obverse of the coin, a stylized composition symbolizing the energy system of Ukraine is placed on a mirror background. Her image is embodied in a symbolic sunflower blossom, each petal of which, like a lantern, illuminates our country with light. It shines, despite the enemy rocket fire, like the sunrise that is sure to come after the most terrible night.

On the reverse of the coin, in the form of three immovable and shining blocks, a stylized trident is depicted, which during the rotation of the coin transforms into the letter "E" and is the first letter of the word "ENERGY".

Commemorative coin "The land of superheroes. Thanks to the energy workers!" made of nickel silver, its circulation is up to 50,000 pieces. The band of the coin is smooth, with recessed, inversely located inscriptions: the denomination of the coin is five hryvnias, the year of coinage is 2023, and the logo of the Banknote and Mint of the NBU.
