'The Times Magazine' is a very rare weekend Arts magazine that was only ever published for one day as a supplement to The Times newspaper broadsheet.
The Times issue features -
Gore Vidal and the photographs of Karl Bissinger - cover feature. For a brief period following WWII, the world of high art bloomed with talent and optimism. Gore recalls an artistic golden age. Includes rare photographs of Colette, Aldous Huxley, Henry Miller, Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin together, Gary Cooper, Truman Capote, plus a full page photo of Marlon Brando. 6 page unique feature and the cover photo of Juliette Greco.
Christine Keeler - and 'The Chair' portrait by Lewis Morley. 2 pages of Lewis' contact sheets i.e. 12 different photos from the session in 1963 which led to the famous photo of the call girl in the Arne Jacobsen chair. Morley talks about the shoot and why he chose that one particular shot.
