Ranbhoomi narrates the story of two good men who are pushed to violence by a series of unfortunate events. Rupa (Shatrughan Sinha), in his thirst for revenge against his sister’s rapist, taken to the gun and kills villain in broad daylight. Chandan Singh (Jeetendra) is a professor, but also the villain’s brother. He vows to avenge his brother’s death and thus becomes Rupa’s sworn enemy. Village simpleton Bhola (Rishi Kapoor) is thrown in to the picture and he inadvertently tries to broker peace between Rupa and Chandan.
