As Eddie Van Halen's iconic and sublime guitar, one of the most famous electric guitars of all time is the Frankenstein. This model made in Mexico is a model "FRANKIE" that respects the most while being affordable.
Featuring Eddie's famous red, white and black striped paint job and a well-worn Relic look, the all-new Frankie features a basswood Stratocaster-style body paired with a graphite-reinforced quartersawn maple neck. . The neck has an oiled finish for hours of comfortable playing.
The 12"-16" compound radius maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets is designed for fast and furious playing styles.
Routed in an HSS pickup configuration just like Eddie's original, the Frankie features an EVA Wolfgang humbucking bridge pickup with a dummy Strat neck pickup and a dummy 5-way blade stowed in the middle position.
The EVH-branded Floyd Rose locking trem and Floyd Rose locking nut work in tandem for precise tuning, even with extreme pitch changes. EVHD-Tuna also has fast access to Drop D tuning.
Other unique features include a white Strat-style single volume control knob (labeled "TONE"), custom black pickguard, Relic chrome hardware, standard strap pin, and EVH neck plate. .
