FROM MADEIRA WITH LOVE...!

Found in an estate liquidation on Madeira Island Portugal, that of a retried antiques dealer.

Antique pressed glass oil lamp dating from the turn of the last century from Portugal.  In the style of Early American Pressed Glass.

Measured from the table to the top of the brass collar, 8 1/4".

Molded top to bottom with concentric rings or ribs.

The color best described as a pale Seafoam Green or an Ice Blue/Green, much like old canning jars.

Coated with attic grime when found, a good cleaning revealed that it had escaped use free of chips, cracks or residue.

The brass collar is tight to the lamp, however, from disuse and decades in storage, has acquired a coating of surface rust.

Not much history is available on the maker`s of old Portuguese glass.  The lamp is marked in the mold only with a letter "D".

A recent estate find, no other information regarding this item came to us.
