CONDITION: Old Map Store Stock: Unsold & Unused. Bio-predation & Oxidation (aging). One section, top edge fold, has bio-predation holes.

When unfolded the map measures approximately 31½ inches by 22¾ inches. (1 inch = 2.54 cm)

When folded the map measures approximately 4 inches wide by 11¼ inches tall.

Background General Information:

1982 was the year that the Britihs Falkand Islands were invaded and subsequent Falkands War.
The Falkland Islands are a a British Overseas Territories (BOTs), also known as a United Kingdom Overseas Territories (UKOTs). There are about 14 of them around the world. This includes the Falkland Islands, British Antarctic Territory, the South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.
Claimed by Argentina. In 1982, the Falklands War was fought over control of the islands.
Includes East Falkland, West Falkland and over 700 other islands!
The Falkand Islands cover 12,173 km2 (4,700 square miles). other islands!
On 14 June 2022, Stanley received letters patent from the monarch Queen Elizabeth II awarding city status0 This was the 40th anniversary rememberance of the war.
The capitol city is Stanley which is also known as Port Stanley or Stanley Harbour.
Artine Occupation : Puerto de las Islas Malvinas (Port of the Malvinas/Falklands), used from 6–20 April 1982. Puerto Argentino (Port Argentine) – used ever since 21 April 1982 by the Argentines, although in 1994 the Argentine Government signed an undertaking to review toponymy relating to the Argentine occupation of the islands.
A non-political translation of the name of Stanley is Puerto Stanley.
Puerto Rivero was used after April 3,1982 Argentine invasion.
Puerto de las Islas Malvinas (Port of the Malvinas/Falklands), used from 6–20 April 1982.
Argetine junta occupation ended on June 14 1982 when the Brritish regained control of the island.
